MultiMonitor
Configuration Considerations
- MultiMonitor is enabled in the Terminal Mode Selection Window in the New Terminal Configuration Wizard.
- MultiMonitor Licensing is per device.
- Each Device may have up-to 5 monitors specified.
- When using a USB to VGA/DVI Adapter, you will not be able to use more than 1 built in/on-board video adapter on the thin client.
- The maximum single monitor/session size allowed by Terminal Services on Server 2008/2003 is 4096x2048 [1].
- The maximum single monitor/session size allowed on Server 2012 is 8192x8192.
- Using the Microsoft Extended Desktop setting allows the creation of larger sessions.
Troubleshooting
Symptom: One or more screen goes black.
Resolution 1: Adjust refresh rate to a supported value, such as 60Hz, 65Hz, 70Hz, 75Hz, etc.
Resolution 2: Add the "Custom Video Mode" module to the terminal configuration.
