Presently, ThinManager supports the RDR-xx81AKx family of RFID readers which includes:

---|---|---|
RDR-6081AK2 | Serial | Package 5 or 6 |
RDR-6081AKU | Universal Serial Bus (USB) | Package 5 or 6 |
RDR-80582AK0 | Universal Serial Bus (USB) | Package 6 |
Configuration Considerations
Facility Code. Serial can read it, USB can't. Turn off if you have USB or mixed devices.
10/31/2012 - PBS:
1) We are currently recommending the AK0 device. It is $117 http://www.cdwg.com/shop/products/RF-IDEAS-PCPROX-USB-READER/2840657.aspx
RF Idea has a list of $179 for the USB RDR-6081AKU and $193 for the serial AK2
2) The AK2, AKU, and AK0 all support the HID and HID2 format.
The AK0 can support other formats (Indala, Casi-Rusco, Pyramid, etc.) and we could probably support them but we've not had any one request support for them.
